Giving Tuesday is December 1, and your donations are crucial!
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting its Section 106 historical review, required as part of the wetlands permit IRG needs to build its warehouses. Save Weyerhaeuser Campus is part of a group of "consulting parties" meeting twice a month to hash out ideas for reasonable and meaningful mitigation/minimization of adverse impacts of the warehouses.
SWC is engaging experts in landscape architecture, forestry and visual impacts that will allow us to make more powerful arguments for mitigation and minimization. Every dollar donated goes to these efforts -- we have no paid staff!
For Giving Tuesday, we once again have a generous $5,000 matching challenge from JoAnna, a Massachusetts resident with Northwest roots who loves the campus. For the third time, JoAnna is matching up to $5,000 in donations from supporters of the campus!
