On Oct. 25, 2018, the City of Federal Way issued its SEPA (environmental) determination on Industrial Realty Group's Warehouse A application. Read the decision here. On Nov. 9, 2018, it issued an amended decision.

County and state agencies and the Puyallup and Muckleshoot Tribes submitted comments to the city, asking for more comprehensive transportation and environmental review that would encompass the cumulative impacts of all five warehouses proposed by IRG on the historic Weyerhaeuser campus.

After reviewing the comments, the city amended the decision to require expansion of the Highway 18 westbound off ramp to Weyerhaeuser Way to accommodate semi-trucks waiting to turn right. However, the agencies' requests for comprehensive studies of traffic and environmental impacts was not granted.

Agencies commenting include WSDOT, King County Department of Transportation, King County Department of Natural Resources, Puyallup Tribe, Muckleshoot Tribe and the Washington State Department of Archaeological and Historic Preservation.

Organizations commenting include Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, Rainier Audubon and Save Weyerhaeuser Campus.
